It is our great pleasure to announce the 16th Annual Zonta FilmFest, hosted by the Zonta Club of Newport Harbor Foundation, at the beautiful Marion Knott Studios at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Zonta FilmFest, the only film festival in Orange County that combines women-only film makers with a community fundraising campaign, is a tremendous advertising opportunity for businesses interested in attracting women customers, plus being a wonderful philanthropic donation.  Your sponsorship will showcase your business to 150+ powerful women in Orange County, and will benefit two immensely worthwhile causes that directly impact women and girls in Orange County.

The Zonta Award for Women in Film

In the past 15 years, Zonta has provided over $136,700 in scholarships to female film students at Dodge College.  As noted by the Geena Davis Institute, “Media wields a significant influence on how we think and define our place in society. Girls and young women need role models on screen: they need to see themselves in the stories that surround them if they are to achieve gender equality, and their capacity for leadership is to be recognized and encouraged.” Supporting women filmmakers is key to making this happen.

AAUW Fund Tustin-Santa Ana-Orange Branch

Our second beneficiary shares our Zonta International goals and values. AAUW (American Association of University Women) empowers women and girls, and advances equity, through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research. The organization has 170,000+ members across the U.S. Zonta FilmFest will support two of AAUW's programs: Grants for female graduate students within the AAUW Fund and to create more opportunities for 8th grade girls to attend Tech Trek, a week-long science and math camp at Whittier College to encourage STEM careers.
